Skills and Qualifications

• You have demonstrable professional experience in climate, finance, or urban development. Knowledge of cities policy environment, finance, and/or key climate finance issues is highly desirable
• You have demonstrable professional experience delivering whole or part of a project, ideally in an international setting.
• You have demonstrable experience communicating complex topics through a variety of mediums
• You have an undergraduate Degree in International Development/Affairs, Public Policy, Economics, Communications, Finance, Urban Planning (or related, relevant field) or equivalent professional experience. Graduate Degree desirable
• You are fluent in English (written and spoken); other language skills desirable
• You are committed to CPI’s mission and values
• You are an excellent communicator, both written and verbal
• You are extremely organized, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities and can manage your workload efficiently
• You are detail oriented and take pride in every task you deliver
• You can communicate and manage politically sensitive matters strategically and diplomatically
• You are self-motivated and capable of working with limited supervision

CPI has five offices around the world in Brazil, India, Indonesia, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Job Description

Primary duties and responsibilities includes the following and others as assigned:
• Draft and edit internal and external written products including emails, memos, meeting and event summaries, PowerPoint presentations, newsletters, and website content
• Contribute to high-quality Alliance analytical products, including policy briefs, reports, and statements
• Coordinate and organize external engagement events with Alliance members and stakeholders
• Support the Program Manager on reporting requirements to the program’s funders as well as impact reporting
• Support the Program Manager in drafting grant proposals for expanded Alliance work
• Communicate and collaborate with CPI staff working around the globe, including analysts, operations, and communications team members
