Skills and Qualifications

Postgraduate or equivalent level preferably in Environmental management, Environmental Science, Ecology & Biodiversity Management, Environmental Engineering, Sustainable Development, or related field. Minimum 5 years of professional experience with at least 2-3 years in the assessment and management of environmental impacts. Deep understanding of World Bank E&S Standards and applicable EHS Guidelines, as well as National laws and regulations.

ExperienceMinimum 5 years of professional experience with at least 2-3 years in environmental impact assessment and management.
SalaryAs per industry norms.

Job Description

The Environmental Safeguards Officer will be responsible for overseeing all project’s Environmental Safeguard Management aspects, updating and implementing the CITIIS E&S Management Framework to comply with regulations, assisting in environmental and social screening, and developing guidance notes on Environmental and Social Impact Assessment and Management among other responsibilities.
