Organisation Details
ESCAP is the regional development arm of the United Nations for Asia and the Pacific, focusing on inclusive, resilient, and sustainable transport systems across member states, particularly SIDS (Small Island Developing States).
Job Description
Under the UNDA project on inclusive transport in SIDS, the consultant will support the national assessment of Fiji’s urban transport system. Responsibilities include:
• Mapping current levels of social inclusion and accessibility in urban transport
• Designing and conducting transport accessibility surveys
• Analyzing policies on accessibility, gender equality, and affordability
• Drafting a national assessment report
• Developing inclusive transport indicators based on ESCAP guidelines
• Leading stakeholder consultations, meetings, and a national workshop
• Supporting dissemination of findings to local and regional partners
