• Master’s degree or equivalent in civil, railway, or transportation engineering, transport economics or finance, transport planning, sustainable transport; OR a related university degree and at least 5 years of specialized experience relevant to the position.
• At least 8 years of relevant professional experience in the transport sector, including international work experience.
• Knowledge of transport and communications development issues in Asia.
• Experience in preparing investment projects (identification, conceptualization, policy analysis, stakeholder coordination).
• Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams (technical, social, environmental, economic assessments, procurement).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in client orientation, achieving results, problem-solving, and knowledge sharing.

ExperienceMinimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience in the transport sector.

Job Description

• Contribute to the articulation and implementation of transport sector policies and strategies in developing member countries (DMCs).
• Process and administer transport sector assistance projects, technical assistance (TA), and non-lending products and services (NLPS).
• Ensure project identification, preparation, appraisal, documentation, and compliance with ADB’s policies and operational instructions.
• Incorporate sustainability, safety, efficiency, and best engineering practices (including climate change considerations and appropriate technology) into project design.
• Liaise with government officials, stakeholders, and internal ADB teams to ensure smooth project development and implementation.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff and ensure knowledge-sharing within the organization
