Experience | • Master's degree in urban planning, energy or natural resource policy, international development, finance/economics, or related field • Minimum of 3 years full-time work experience and previous experience in program implementation or project management • A successful candidate will demonstrate excellent qualitative and/or quantitative research and writing skills • Experience with providing program and project coordination • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, and strong internet research skills • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with teams of individuals and colleagues around the world • Strong project management skills • Flexibility to travel. This assignment might require up to six international trips per year, depending on project priorities • US work authorization is required for this position |
Salary | $59,000 - $77,000 |
As the UrbanShift Manager, you will be a part of the WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities Urban Development team, and will work on the UrbanShift Program. Under the UrbanShift Program, as the Manager (Knowledge and Partnerships Officer in the UrbanShift organigram), you will combine project management and research responsibilities. As a key member of the team, you will lead aspects related to project management (reporting, gathering and analysis of M&E indicators, organization of partners’ meetings, tracking of deliverables); and research, such as providing support on the production of knowledge products for the project, including content for City Academy Courses, and methodologies/agendas for Strategic Urban Planning Labs. You will also help with other tasks related to the project, such as organizing peer-exchanges between participating cities, or other kinds of learning events, such as the City Academy, depending on need. It will also be the contact person and lead for the gender aspects of the project.
