nirf ranking 2025 architecture

India NIRF Rankings 2025 has officially released its much-anticipated rankings for Architecture & Planning institutions in India, offering a clear picture of where the nation’s premier design and planning schools stand today. This year’s list doesn’t just highlight academic excellence—it reflects how these institutions are shaping the future of urban design, sustainability, and infrastructure in India.

For students, educators, and industry leaders, these rankings provide critical insights into academic performance, research output, faculty quality, and infrastructure capabilities—key factors that influence education and career pathways in architecture and planning.

The rankings are based on five key pillars:

  1. Teaching and Learning Resources (TLR): Measures academic support, faculty strength, and infrastructure.
  2. Graduation Outcome (GO): Tracks placements, higher education opportunities, and student success rates.
  3. Perception (PR): Captures reputation among peers, employers, and the public.
  4. Outreach and Inclusivity (OI): Focuses on diversity, regional representation, and access.
  5. Research and Professional Practice (RP): Looks at publications, patents, and professional impact.

Since 2018, institutes receiving public funding must participate in the rankings, ensuring transparency and accountability across the board.

Architecture and urban design are changing faster than ever. Cities are expanding, sustainability challenges are mounting, and technology is transforming how buildings and public spaces are planned. The India NIRF Rankings 2025 help students and parents make informed decisions about the best architecture colleges in India—based on parameters that actually matter, not just reputation or word of mouth.

These rankings also act as a mirror for institutions, showing where they shine and where they need to step up. Whether it’s better research facilities, stronger industry connections, or improving global visibility, the rankings push colleges toward excellence.
