1. Academic background in product design, industrial design, sustainable design, or a related field
2. Strong ability to integrate sustainability and aesthetics into product design
3. Knowledge of production techniques, semantics/semiotics, and material applications
4. Experience in teaching or professional product design practice
5. Interest in design research and supervision of Master’s theses
6. Ability to work collaboratively and cross-culturally
7. Excellent command of English (instruction language)
8. Project management and communication skills
9. Experience with innovative and human-centered design education principles

ExperiencePrevious academic teaching or professional practice in product/sustainable design; research involvement preferred

Job Description

The Lecturer in Sustainable Design will be responsible for teaching and curriculum development in the Product Design Department, focusing on sustainable, human-centered design approaches. The role involves covering all stages of the design process, guiding students in concept development, material application, and design research. The candidate is expected to foster design thinking, sustainability awareness, and innovation, while contributing to GUC’s interdisciplinary research clusters and academic community. Responsibilities include supervising student projects and Master’s theses, developing partnerships, and actively participating in program growth.
