Skills and Qualifications

• University degree in economics, sociology, anthropology, international development, or a related field
• Good technical writing and documentation skills. Fluency in English & Hindi speaking is required
• Ability to develop partnerships and to network in the areas of education, skills, youth engagement and employment
• Demonstrated capacity to develop and disseminate information through a variety of communication channels tailored to literate, semi-literate and illiterate populations in urban slums
• Familiarity with the local laws and regulations that encourage or inhibit the capacity of local community groups to engage in livelihood activities.
• Proficient in various MS office applications
• Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision; ability to work with tight deadlines
• Experience of health and nutrition program implementation will be a plus
• Must be result oriented and able to deliver on timelines

ExperienceMinimum 5 years of experience in designing and implementing community level livelihood activities

Job Description

• Design and conduct analysis, scoping research, feasibility research on understanding the current livelihood/job situation of the population. Research and suggest on best practices on livelihood to be explored for possible adaption.
• Develop and disseminate information through a variety of communication channels tailored to literate, semi-literate, and illiterate populations residing in urban slums.
• Support co-creation and validations of solutions. Facilitate implementation of the livelihood program/intervention.
• Develop MIS instruments and reporting instruments for planning, implementation, and monitoring of initiatives.
• Maintain effective communication and quality relationships with project lead on strategy, program design, implementation, and reporting
• Explore partnerships/policy advocacy with state government and private sector donors.
• Work across various ethnic groups and stakeholders and follow cooperative action plans.
