Skills and Qualifications

• A working knowledge of planning history, theory, and contemporary planning best practices.
• Experience with planning tasks such as demographic research and projections, public process, code development, and plan making.
• Proficiency across the Adobe Creative Suite, Office, Rhino, Revit, ArcGIS , and emerging design and visualization technologies.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a highly collaborative team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Technical writing skills, including design guidelines, zoning language, and RFP development.
• Project and team management experience.

Experience• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree(s) in city planning, urban design, landscape architecture, architecture, or related field. • 5-10 years of progressively responsible experience in a range of planning and urban design contexts.

Job Description

LMN’s urban system lab is a multi-disciplinary group of design professionals. A successful applicant will:
• Work across traditional planning and urban design boundaries in a collaborative environment.
• Manage multi-disciplinary teams from planning through construction administration.
• Contribute to the planning and design development for complex, large-scale projects, which include urban infrastructure, transit, mixed-use development, and campus planning.
• Provide planning and urban design support to architecture projects.
• Facilitate and coordinate with complex stakeholder teams including public agencies, other consultants, owner, and contractor.
• Show experience in inclusive engagement.
• Play a pivotal role in elevating the work of the Urban Systems Lab inside and outside of the office.
