The Associate Urban Designer will support and lead urban design work across the Bronx, including:
• Conducting zoning, land use, and design studies
• Preparing design guidelines, conceptual plans, and graphical materials
• Creating diagrams, digital models, maps, illustrative drawings, and presentations
• Reviewing projects undergoing ULURP, CEQR, and internal planning processes
• Preparing materials for City Planning Commission, elected officials, agencies, and community boards
• Conducting research on NYC planning trends, zoning resolution, and urban design policies
• Engaging with developers, consultants, city agencies, and the general public
• Identifying strategic collaboration opportunities
• Mentoring junior designers and interns
This position may allow hybrid work (up to 2 days remote) under NYC’s Remote Work Pilot Program.
