Skills and Qualifications

Preferably Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in data science, climate studies, atmospheric science, GIS, environmental science, and other allied fields. Candidates pursuing their degrees can also apply.
Proficiency in Python, GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS, Google Earth Engine), and statistical tools (Excel, SPSS).
Knowledge in climate data analytics, atmospheric sciences, meteorology, and geospatial technology.
Experience with programming languages such as Python, and proficiency in using Python libraries like Xarray, Pandas, Geopandas, and NumPy.
Knowledge of machine learning and deep learning is an added advantage.

Experience0-1 years. Candidates pursuing their Bachelor’s/Master’s can apply.
SalaryAs per industry norms.

Job Description

The Research Intern will support the Climate Resilience team by undertaking rigorous analysis of big climate and geospatial data to develop climate risk indices for the Climate Resilience Atlas (CRA) project. This includes working with programming languages and tools to develop granular climate risk indices and supporting research through data analysis and literature review.
