Skills and Qualifications

Master’s degree in Engineering, Urban Planning, Management, Project Management, or a related field.
A Bachelor’s degree + 2 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Master's degree.

ExperienceMinimum 5 years of professional experience in water management, sustainability projects, irrigation systems, or automated operation systems management. Experience in projects with international organizations is desirable. Prior experience coordinating with government entities (e.g., EWA – Electricity & Water Authority) is highly desirable. At least 5 years in water conservation, sustainability projects, and irrigation systems management.

UN-Habitat Bahrain supports sustainable urban development and climate adaptation goals in alignment with Bahrain’s Net Zero 2060 commitment. This consultancy contributes to water conservation efforts, including saving 250,000 m³ of water and launching an awareness campaign.

Job Description

Provide technical consultation on water-saving solutions, particularly greywater systems.
Coordinate with stakeholders, including mosque contractors and relevant partners, to ensure successful installation.
Conduct site assessments to evaluate existing water infrastructure and identify optimal locations for greywater system installation.
Supervise the installation process and ensure compliance with technical standards and project goals.
Prepare reports documenting project progress, water savings achieved, and key learnings.
Submit monthly progress reports on the implementation process.
