• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited institution within the field of Landscape Architecture;
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in a professional design firm;
• Member or Associate Member of OALA is preferred;
• Strong Arboriculture skills. Certified Arborist is considered an asset;
• Understanding of design excellence principles with demonstrated high quality work that elevates design;
• Strong visualization skills considered an asset;
• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of assisting in the preparation of reports and developing design narratives under the direction of a Senior Landscape Architect;
• Knowledge of the technical aspects of the Landscape Architecture field such as planting, grading, storm water management and construction detailing;
• Experience in preparation of construction documentation;
• Proficiency in the latest version of AutoCAD, Microstation, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and SketchUp;
• Revit, Rhino or proficiency with other BIM or modelling tools is considered an asset;
• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); and
• Valid driver's license is considered an asset.
