Skills and Qualifications

• Master’s degree in environmental science, atmospheric science, environmental engineering, public health, or related field
• Strong knowledge of air quality, climate change, and environmental health
• Expertise in data analysis, emissions management, and policy development
• Understanding of short-lived climate pollutants (SLCPs)
• Strong technical writing, facilitation, and training skills
• Knowledge of Brazil’s environmental policy framework
• Fluency in Portuguese and English

Experience

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in air quality, climate change, or environmental health
• Experience in policy development and implementation support
• Experience in preparing technical reports and knowledge products
• Experience working with international or government organizations preferred

Job Description

• Provide technical support on air quality, climate change, and health linkages
• Support development of Clean Air and Climate Plan for SLCP reduction
• Conduct data collection, analysis, and policy assessment
• Assist in designing integrated climate and air quality platforms
• Prepare technical reports, guidelines, and knowledge materials
• Organize workshops, training sessions, and stakeholder engagement activities
• Coordinate with national agencies and international partners
• Support monitoring, reporting, and evaluation of air quality initiatives
• Contribute to climate policy integration across sectors such as transport and energy
