Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors / Masters in anyone (or more) of the following fields: Environment and Conservation Sciences, Education or Communications
• Conceptual understanding of ecology and familiarity with natural history.
• Demonstrable ability to facilitate learning experiences with diverse target audiences.
• Efficient event organization skills, ability to multi-task and manage working relationships
• Proficiency in spoken Hindi and English are mandatory.
• Basic computer literacy and functional use of Microsoft Office tools, Google / One Drive and social platforms.

Experience• Minimum 1 - 2 years of relevant experience as under. • Experience with conservation education (nature trails, workshops, courses, camps, citizen science) to engage diverse target audiences

Job Description

WWF-India’s Environment Education division is a vibrant programme with a vision to inform and empower children, youth, and citizens to take action and create impact for a sustainable planet. The team has an on-ground presence in 12 states and facilitates innovative nature education and outreach initiatives for diverse target audiences, such as students, educators, school leaders, college goers, young adults, professionals, and citizens around the country.

We are looking to recruit a qualified and dynamic ‘Programme Officer’ who is passionate about conservation education, to be a part of ‘Nature Connect’ which is a team that works to connect humans with the natural world through experiential nature trails, workshops, biodiversity festivals, courses, camps and citizen science. Nature Connect is a part of WWF-India’s Environment Education division, this is a full time role that is a combination of field and desk-based work.

The incumbent’s role is to design, implement and facilitate nature trails in locations in and around Delhi / NCR as well as develop exciting content and activities centred around biodiversity education and action.
