1. Master’s degree in urban studies, urban planning, environmental sciences, geography, sociology, political science, public policy, economics, statistics, or other relevant fields.
2. Research experience with strong organizational, analytical, writing, and presentation skills.
3. Proficiency with Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Python, R, Microsoft Office, and Google platforms.
4. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and JavaScript is a plus.

Job Description

The Research Associate will conduct research and analyze data across transportation, energy & environment, and housing fields to inform urban planning policy recommendations in the New York metropolitan region. Responsibilities include conducting statistical, geographic, and policy analysis, organizing and visualizing datasets, providing technical support on research projects, and drafting reports.
