As a Research Fellow, your main duties will include:
• Working with and in support of Dr Selim to ensure the project is successfully delivered and completed;
• Conducting a thorough literature review, in addition to qualitative and quantitative research methods for developing a Practical Policy Document on Cultural Heritage Arts & crafts in Jordan;
• Conducting qualitative and quantitative data analysis;
• Generating and pursuing independent and original research ideas in line with the project objectives and direction;
• Contributing to setting the progression of the project including preparing proposals for future funding in collaboration with local partners

ExperienceAs per Industry Standards.
Salary£34,304 to £40,927 p.a.

Do you want to further your career in one of the UK’s leading research-intensive Universities? Do you want to work on a large research project alongside leading academics in the field of Cultural Heritage Arts and Crafts?

We are seeking a Research Fellow to work with Dr Gehan Selim on her AHRC-funded interdisciplinary project ‘Creative Economies Through Youth- led Arts and Craft in Jordan (CEARC)’. You will have a doctorate in a relevant discipline such as architecture or geography and will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary research team – co-investigator Dr Deema Refai (Business School). The candidate will support project that aims to demonstrate the value of heritage-inspired creative arts through policy, knowledge exchange and development.

You will have strong experience in conducting empirical fieldwork, the ability to communicate effectively with practitioners and policymakers, and the ability to work individually or as part of a team.
