• Bachelor’s Degree in Gender Equality, Social Science, Development Studies, Community Development, or other relevant disciplines; Master’s Degree is desirable.
• Minimum two years of experience in gender-related issues, administration, and social safeguards.
• Experience with Cities Alliance, UN agencies, or development partners, as well as experience in the Nepalese national context, is required.
• Proficiency with G-Suite (Google Drive, Calendar, Gmail, Sheets, Docs, and Slides) is an asset.
• Fluency in both Nepalese and English is required.

ExperienceMinimum of two years in gender-related issues, social safeguards, or related fields.
SalaryAs per industry norms.

Organisation Details

UNOPS Nepal and the Cities Alliance Secretariat, in collaboration with UN-Habitat, are working on the EU-funded project “Inclusive and Climate Resilient Urbanization in Nepal.” This project focuses on gender-sensitive urban planning to enhance women’s participation in city planning, with specific tools and strategies aimed at climate resilience and inclusive urban development.

Job Description

• Assist in GAP analysis for municipal planning, provide support in gender-sensitive urban design, and participate in community meetings to identify key needs.
• Support documentation, research, data gathering, and manage social media communications for gender and social inclusion results.
• Integrate Health, Safety, Social, and Environmental (HSSE) management practices into project execution and provide logistical support for workshops and community engagement activities.
