Skills and Qualifications

Master’s degree in Urban Management/ Urban Planning/ Urban Design/ Development Studies/ International Cooperation, or a related field.
Global certifications in Organisation Development/ HR Management, or related areas is preferred.

Experience1. Experienced in Urban Planning and Housing sectors, with a focus on implementing training programmes and capacity building initiatives. 2. Proficient in developing and delivering Urban Planning and Housing capacity building curricula and pedagogical frameworks. 3. Ten years of direct experience in organisational capacity building, development, and training. 4. Five years of experience in designing and delivering training for adult audiences across various settings. 5. Demonstrated skills and experience in organisational assessment, especially in international contexts. 6. Experience in leading upskilling and future skills analysis in at least two industries over the past five years.
SalaryAs per industry norms.

NIUA’s objective is to bridge the gap between research and practice on issues related to urbanization, with over 45 years of contribution to the urban narrative for urban India. The Institute works in areas like research, knowledge management, policy advocacy, and capacity building to address urban challenges.

Job Description

Provide input on capacity building tasks and curriculum in Urban Planning, including social aspects such as poverty alleviation, job creation, pro-poor planning approaches, housing for all, public health, among others.
