The list below describes the optimal qualifications of the Sustainability Coordinator to meet typical project needs. We encourage people to apply for the position if they meet most of these attributes:

• Sustainable Planning Experience: broad proficiency, experience, and knowledge of core sustainability concepts relevant for planning and urban design projects. A minimum of 5 years of work experience in urban design and planning. Experience developing sustainability and resilience strategies for campuses, urban districts, cities, and/or development projects.
• Academic Degree: in Planning, Urban Design, Architecture, or Environmental Design.
• Quantitative Analysis: Sustainability analyses at a master plan level including solar/shadow studies, wind, and/or stormwater. Comfort with data visualization and ability to learn quantitative sustainability analyses like energy and carbon emissions modeling from SketchUp or Rhino models.
• Visual Communication: Comfortable with developing presentation slides, report pages, infographics, diagrams, maps and other diagrams to communicate sustainability findings and recommendations. Proficient with PPT, Indesign, and Illustrator.
• Writing: Strong writing skills, with experience developing reports and proposals.
