Organisation Details
UNDRR leads the coordination of disaster risk reduction efforts across the UN system and supports the implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030. This role will involve supporting cities in Southeastern Europe in their resilience planning and disaster risk reduction efforts, focusing on the implementation of MCR2030.
Job Description
The Urban Resilience Project Support Specialist will work with cities in Southeastern Europe to conduct resilience assessments and support the development of Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) strategies. Key responsibilities include engaging cities through the MCR2030 network, supporting peer learning activities, preparing advocacy materials, and leveraging UNDRR resources to assist cities in developing resilience plans.
