Description
Beam Center seeks a large-scale project that can engage more than 100 young people and staff in approximately 50 hours of collaborative fabrication using diverse materials, tools and processes.
Eligibility
Open worldwide to people of any age, including artists, engineers, architects, builders, filmmakers, musicians, designers and technologists.

Open Call: 11 September 2026
Info Sessions: 22 October and 14 November
Submission: 30 November 2026
Realisation: Summer 2027
Registration Details
Free. Submit one PDF containing project title, detailed description, visuals and information about all designers.
Competition Jury
Selection committee comprising Beam Center staff, youth, past project designers and community members
Prizes
US$5,000 award plus approximately US$15,000 fabrication budget and reasonable travel reimbursement
