Skills and Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Urban Planning, Public Policy, Public Health, Data Science, or equivalent and 2-4 years’ experience OR

Experience• Minimum 5 years of experience in government/ semi-government/ autonomous organizations/ private company of repute in similar roles • Master’s Degree in Urban Planning, Public Policy, Public Health, Data Science, or equivalent and 2-4 years’ experience OR • Minimum 5 years of experience in government/ semi-government/ autonomous organizations/ private company of repute in similar roles • Experience working with governments, non-profit organizations, or other organizations on issues of urban poor or livelihood development • Proficient with statistical analysis • Proficient in writing and verbal communication in English Desired: • 2 years working experience closely with a national or state government • Proficient in writing and verbal communication in Hindi and another Indian regional language. • Ability to program or use common data analysis and visualisation tools like R, PowerBI or Tableau Remuneration will be competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.

We focus on strengthening local governments through capacity building, consulting, technical assistance, and groundwork in vulnerable communities. We also work with State and National Governments to form better policy and to support its implementation. We wish to ensure that India’s cities continue to work toward equitable and sustainable development for everyone.

Job Description

• Planning, analysing, and supporting implementation of public programmes.

• Engage with all stakeholders such as government entities, end-user, beneficiaries and program experts and understand their strategic planning, monitoring and supervision priorities

• Collaborate closely with other team members and support stakeholders to ideate for the future of urban India.

• Draft orders/ circulars, letters, reports and other documents on behalf of the government and UMC.

• Enable collection, collation, and analysis of data about urban policy in India.

• Assess capacity gaps and provide training to resource organisations, beneficiaries and as and when required.
