Skills and Qualifications

Masters' Degree in any. discipline or MBBS or Degree in Engineering or Technology (including B. Arch/B. Planning) from a recognised university, or pass in Sections A and B of the Institution Examinations of the Institute of Engineers (India) or post-Graduate Diploma in Management (Two Years).

ExperienceSenior Specialist: A minimum of four years' post qualification experience (which shall include up to J years for ph.D. provided no work experience is counted during those 3 years) in formulation, appraisal, execution/ implementation, research, monitoring, and evaluation of policies, programs, or projects is required. The minimum post qualification experience is ro years as on the last date of receipt of the application. The desired experience as per Annexure-I is also required. Specialist: Minimum 8 years post qualification experience (which shall include up to J years for a Ph.D. provided no work experience is counted during those 3 years) in formulation, appraisal, execution/ implementation, research, monitoring, and evaluation of policies, programs, or projects is required. The minimum post-qualification experience is eight years as on the last date of receipt of the application.

Organisation Details

The National Institution for Transforming India is the premier policy think tank in India which is engaged in a number of transformational initiatives as a catalyst and an accelerator of change across sectors in partnership with Central Ministries and State Governments. The three broad functions of NITI Aayog are given below. I. Policy & Knowledge: NITI Aayog is engaged in political intervention across the sectors while designing strategic and long-term policies and programmes for the Government of India. Furthermore, it provides both directional and policy inputs as well as relevant technical advice to the Centre and States. II. Innovation- Promoting a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship by serving as a platform for the promotion of world-class innovation hubs, grand challenges, start-up businesses, and other self-employment activities, particularly in rigorous technology and innovation-driven areas. Ill. Monitoring and Evaluation: -Design, experiment, quasi-experiment, rigorous econometric modelling techniques, and big data analytics to provide insight and feedback to drive evidence-based policy and programme design.
