• Degree level education (WO level) in Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, or related field
• Strong design and visualization skills
• Ability to develop concepts into detailed public space designs
• Experience with mapping, graphics, and presentation tools
• Understanding of multidisciplinary urban development processes
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder coordination skills

Experience

• Mid-level experience in urban design or public space design
• Experience working on urban transformation or public realm projects
• Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams

Salary€3,777 to €5,554 per month

The City of Amsterdam is engaged in large-scale urban transformation projects aimed at creating sustainable, inclusive, and livable environments. The Transformation & Innovation Areas team works on integrating mobility, economy, climate, and urban quality in future city developments.

Job Description

• Develop public space designs from concept to final design stages
• Prepare maps, visualizations, and presentation materials
• Conduct spatial analysis and contribute to urban design strategies
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
• Work on area development projects including HavenStad
• Contribute to improving design quality within the team
• Collaborate with external partners to deliver feasible design solutions
• Participate in knowledge sharing and team development initiatives
