Skills and Qualifications

• Applicants must be enrolled in a graduate programme, be in the final year of a bachelor's programme, or have completed a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree
• Preferred fields of study include Climate, Urban Planning, Management, Economics, Political Science or International Law
• Result-oriented research skills are required
• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite
• Report writing and policy-report experience is desirable
• Fluency in written and spoken English and French is required
• Knowledge of Arabic is desirable
• Knowledge of another United Nations language is desirable
• Ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds

Experience

• Professional work experience is not required for applicants to the UN Internship Programme
• The applicant's field of study should be closely related to the internship

Job Description

• Support research for ongoing and upcoming projects under the urban climate portfolio
• Assist in developing urban climate resilience project ideas
• Support project development and funds mobilisation activities
• Assist with fieldwork-related activities
• Prepare meeting minutes
• Support logistics management during workshops
• Undertake other activities relevant to the mandate of UN-Habitat
• Report to the Head of Office and Programme Assistan
